Your information

Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Preneor may collect through the TrueCost website and purchase process, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

In short: We use personal information to operate the website, respond to enquiries, process orders, deliver licences, provide support and meet legal obligations. Preneor does not sell customer personal information.

1. Who we are

“Preneor”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating the TrueCost website. The operator is PRENEOR ENTERPRISE LIMITED, RC 9629003, No 8, Abiodun Adelusi Road, Ekute, Ekiti State, Nigeria. We act as the controller for personal information processed for our own website, sales and customer-support purposes, where applicable.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Please do not send confidential project documents or personal information about other people unless it is necessary for your request and you are entitled to share it.

3. How we use information and our lawful bases

If you do not provide information necessary for an order or support request, we may be unable to complete that request.

4. Who we share information with

We may share relevant information with service providers that help us host the website, process payments, deliver software, protect systems, communicate with customers or meet legal requirements. Paystack is intended to process online payments; review Paystack’s own privacy information for its handling of payment data.

Preneor does not sell customer personal information. Information may be processed or disclosed where necessary to operate the service, process payments, provide delivery, security or communications services, comply with legal requirements, or where you have consented.

Some service providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, we will take appropriate steps required by applicable data-protection law to protect the information and its transfer.

5. Cookies and analytics

This website currently uses only essential technical storage and essential technical logs, which are needed to keep the site secure and working. It does not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or other non-essential tracking. If we introduce any, we will update this policy first and provide any notice or choice that the actual configuration requires.

6. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access your personal information, correct it, request deletion, receive or transfer a copy, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also object to direct marketing. You can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you believe your information has been handled unlawfully.

We aim to respond to valid privacy requests within one month. We may need to verify your identity, and we may retain information where the law requires it or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim.

7. Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a personal-data breach occurs, we will assess it and make notifications to the regulator and affected people within the periods required by applicable law.

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including order administration, support, accounting, security and legal obligations.

8. Children

The website and purchasing process are intended for adults and businesses, not children under 18. We do not knowingly seek to collect children’s personal information.
