This website is operated by Preneor. The operator is PRENEOR ENTERPRISE LIMITED, RC 9629003, No 8, Abiodun Adelusi Road, Ekute, Ekiti State, Nigeria.
2. Eligibility and territory
You must be at least 18 years old or acting with authority on behalf of a registered business. The website is directed primarily at customers in Nigeria. If you access it from elsewhere, you are responsible for complying with local laws that apply to you.
3. Product information, orders and prices
The website describes TrueCost’s available capabilities and any offered measurement libraries. Roadmap ideas and features not expressly listed as available are not part of a current purchase. A product listing or displayed price invites an order; a contract for a paid item is formed when Preneor accepts the order and confirms payment, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Prices, currency, billing type, licence duration, supported systems, device limits, included libraries, taxes and any additional charges will be shown before payment. If we discover a material pricing error before accepting an order, we will tell you the correct price and allow you to confirm or cancel. If payment was taken for an order we cannot accept, we will arrange a refund through the available payment channel.
4. Payment
Online payments are intended to be processed through Paystack. Payment is treated as complete only after the transaction is confirmed and verified. Your bank or payment provider may apply charges under its own terms; any charges imposed directly by Preneor will be disclosed before you pay. We do not ask you to send card PINs or one-time passwords to our support team.
5. Software licence
The TrueCost app is a free download. The licence is granted on activation: once an order is accepted and payment is confirmed, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased edition for the duration shown when you buy: a set number of months, or a one-off licence that does not expire. The purchase does not transfer ownership of the software.
One licence works on one device only. It is tied to the computer you activate it on and cannot be changed or moved to another device. It will not activate on a second device from the same purchase.
The licence does not permit you to:
- resell, publicly distribute or sublicense the software;
- share licence credentials beyond the permitted user;
- decompile the software, except where applicable law permits;
- tamper with activation or licence controls.
Use of the software is also governed by the TrueCost Licence Agreement, which you are asked to accept before you download TrueCost. If it conflicts with this section on how the software may be used, the Licence Agreement applies.
6. Appropriate use and your materials
You must not use the website or software unlawfully, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorised access or misuse payment systems. You remain responsible for ensuring that drawings, project data and other materials you use with TrueCost are accurate and that you have the rights and permissions needed to use them. You retain your rights in your materials; you give Preneor only the limited permission reasonably needed to provide support or operate the service you request.
7. Professional judgement and output checks
TrueCost does not replace professional judgement or measurement rules. It supports construction measurement, quantification and BOQ preparation, but it does not replace site inspection, verification of drawings, current rates or review by a suitably qualified person. You are responsible for checking dimensions, descriptions, quantities, assumptions, rates and reports before relying on them for tendering, procurement, contracts or construction decisions. We do not guarantee that an estimate will match a project’s final cost, or the success of any tender, contract or construction project.
8. Delivery, refunds and availability
Digital delivery is described in our Delivery Policy; refund requests are handled under our Refund and Return Policy. We take reasonable steps to keep the website available, but maintenance, connectivity problems, third-party services or events outside our reasonable control may cause interruptions.
9. Intellectual property
The TrueCost software, website, branding and related materials belong to Preneor or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy or redistribute them except as permitted by these terms or law.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. To the extent permitted by law, Preneor is not responsible for indirect losses arising from misuse of the software, inaccurate user inputs, unverified outputs or events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the software and these terms will never be more than the amount you paid for the licence to which the claim relates.
11. Privacy, notices and marketing
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. We may send service-related notices by email or other contact details supplied for an order. Promotional messages will be sent only where permitted by law; you can opt out using the method in the message or by contacting us.
12. Changes and suspension
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the website, product or law. For material changes affecting existing paid arrangements, we aim to give at least 14 days’ notice where practicable and where required by law. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security risks or serious misuse.
13. Complaints and governing law
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a complaint informally. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five business days and work toward a resolution promptly. These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, subject to mandatory legal protections. Nothing here prevents you from using a legal remedy available to you.
